Referendum, Elly Schlein: "We defended the constitution, I am ready for the primaries"

The secretary of the PD, Elly Schlein, spoke at a press conference at Nazareno after the victory of the "no" in the referendum on justice: "Many people voted yes in these two days out of a legitimate desire for change and as I have always said throughout this electoral campaign, justice can and must be improved, but it does not improve by putting judges under the control of the Government. With today's vote, the country is also asking for an alternative and we have the responsibility to organize this hope. There is already an alternative majority to this Government and we want to build a proposal that meets its expectations, needs, and desires. I am certain and confident that we will find an agreement as we have always done so far on everything; we will build the program of the alternative and decide together the method. As you know, I have always said that if the method were primaries, I would be available."
