8.4 kg of marijuana discovered in a warehouse on via Petriera: a 19-year-old woman from Milan reported.

She had hidden 2.7 kilograms of marijuana at home and in the trunk of her car when, in recent days, she was stopped and arrested by the State Police for drug trafficking. 

The subsequent investigative activity allowed for the identification of a storage facility, on via Petriera, used by the 19-year-old at the center of this case, inside which the agents of the Flying Squad of the Catania police headquarters found a large black duffel bag containing eight bags full of marijuana totaling 8.4 kilograms. The young woman has been reported.

The young woman, originally from Milano, had been stopped a few days ago while driving her car on via IV Novembre, in the area of corso Indipendenza, and had been arrested for being found in possession of a controlled substance, which she had hidden in her car and at home. Following the validation hearing, the judge ordered her to be placed in preventive custody in prison.

In the following days, the agents of the Flying Squad of the Catania police headquarters managed to identify the logistical base that the 19-year-old used for packaging the drugs. The narcotics have been seized and will be sent to the Scientific Laboratories for analysis.
