Music as a bridge between peoples and a universal language of brotherhood. Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 5:00 PM, the historic San Pietro Church in Agrigento will transform into a temple of harmony to host “Pacem in Terris”, a concert event entirely dedicated to the theme of peace.

An excellent cast from Bagheria to the Valley of the Temples

The impressive artistic machine will feature the Coro Lirico "Laudate Dominum" and the Orchestra Bequadro of Bagheria, two centers of excellence in the Sicilian scene, conducted for the occasion by Maestro Salvatore Di Blasi.

Adding even more value to the performance will be a high-profile sextet of soloists: sopranos Susanna La Fiura, Anna Giulia Anselmo, and Federica Alfano, mezzo-soprano Ilenia Leonardi, tenor Rosario Cristaldi, and bass Marco Tinnirello. Together, they will give voice to a repertoire that spans from baroque to contemporary music.

The program: a journey through the giants of music

The concert will not only be a technical performance but a true spiritual journey. The program alternates indeed immortal pages that have marked the history of humanity:

  • The Risorgimento and Brotherhood: From the intensity of the Agnus Dei by Bizet to the famous Va, pensiero by Verdi, up to the powerful message of the IV Movement of the IX Symphony by Beethoven.

  • Baroque Elegance: The sound architectures of the Gloria by Vivaldi.

  • Sacred Contemporary: A significant space will be dedicated to the compositions of Marco Frisina, with pieces taken from the Apocalypse and the emblematic Pacem in Terris, as well as the Ave Verum by Valentino Miserachs.

A synergy for the territory

The event arises from an institutional synergy that sees the Municipality of Agrigento, Federcori, and Chorus Inside Sicilia at the forefront. The goal is clear: to transform a musical appointment into a moment of civic participation and collective reflection, reaffirming the commitment of the city of temples as a center for spreading messages of peace.

The entrance, in the heart of Via Atenea, promises to attract not only the faithful and enthusiasts of sacred music but anyone who wishes to be carried away by the power of an orchestra and a choir united under a single, noble ideal.
