The Israeli army announced that it struck the Taleghan complex, located in Parchin, claiming that the facility was used by Iran to develop critical capabilities necessary for nuclear weapons production. The operation, based on precise intelligence information, targeted a site that had previously been reported by the U.S. think tank Institute for Science and International Security as a location for secret military activities of the Islamic Republic.

At the same time, Israel faced a massive offensive from Hezbollah, which launched about 200 rockets and 20 drones in what military spokesperson Nadav Shoshani described as the largest attack by the Lebanese group since the beginning of the war. This barrage of projectiles was timed to coincide with the launch of ballistic missiles from Iran, hitting cities and communities across Israeli territory in a coordinated action between Tehran and the militias of Lebanon.
