Enter into the heart of "March, the Month of Culture", an exhibition organized by the Municipal Administration of Acireale through the department led by Enzo Di MauroToday, starting at 8 PM, at the Margherita cinema, there will be a screening of the documentary film "Annuzza", a love and freedom story that tells of a woman from Acireale of noble origins who, at 102 years old and now blind, flips through the pages of her life, lived as a nonconformist in a Sicily still rooted in traditions, and delivers to the enchanted and respectful gaze of the director Orazio Aloi, lucid memories, pulsating emotions, and thoughts that condense wisdom, insight, and biting irony.

The comments inserted and offered by the writer Marinella Fiume create an additional reading space, historical and social, within the delicate thread of the narrative. Her life choices, free and courageous, bring forth not only the strong character of the woman but also her innate ability to seek the light of joy as a guide for her actions.

Today Anna Seminara – this is the protagonist - who is now 103 years old, lives in Acireale and is grateful to Orazio Aloi for bringing her story to light. The documentary has indeed been selected for the Caorle Film Festival, is a semifinalist at the Atlanta Movie Awards, at the International Film Festival of Palermo, at the Berlin Shorts, at the International Short Film Festival of Paris, at the International Short Film Festival of Rome, and at the Santa Barbara International Movie Awards, while it has already won at the Hollywood International Golden Age Festival in New York.
