In Giarratana, the celebrations in honor of Saint Joseph continue, which from Thursday, March 12 will come alive with religious celebrations and community moments promoted by the Chiesa Madre, parish of Maria SS. Annunziata and San Giuseppe.
After days of spiritual preparation, the citizens are getting ready to experience the triduum and the most attended events of the occasion, which every year attract faithful, families, and devotees of the Patriarch.

On Thursday, March 12, the program includes at 5:30 PM the Rosary, the Chaplet, and the singing of the litanies, followed at 6:00 PM by the Holy Mass presided over by don Flavio Maganuco.
On Friday, March 13, it will be the turn of the Stations of the Cross and the eucharistic celebration led by don Johns Avuppadan.
On Saturday, March 14, the eve of the external feast, the town will be awakened by the firing of 19 cannon shots and the joyful ringing of bells.
Alongside the liturgical calendar, the Pastoral Center is hosting very well-attended recreational initiatives: scale 40 tournaments and billiards, as well as the highly followed PlayStation tournament dedicated to FIFA 26.
An opportunity for gathering that is livening up the days of the eve, transforming the Center into a space of play, friendship, and collaboration among generations.

The parish priest, don Franco Ottone, expressed great satisfaction with the response of the community and the atmosphere created: “Seeing young people, families, and people of all ages come together, have fun, and share time and relationships is a beautiful sign of our community. Saint Joseph is the guardian of family and work, but also of fraternity: these recreational moments are a vital part of the feast, as they build bonds and foster a sense of belonging.”
The celebrations will continue until March 19 with celebrations, processions, and events that unite faith, tradition, and popular participation, confirming the feast of Saint Joseph as one of the most significant and heartfelt events of the Giarratana community.
