Modica, scheduled maintenance work on the Guerrieri bridge and the Irminio viaduct: here is when

Maintenance interventions are scheduled on the Irminio viaduct–Costanzo bridge and, subsequently, on the Guerrieri bridge, with active work from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and the establishment of one-way alternating traffic regulated by the traffic controllers. This was announced by Mayor Maria Monisteri Caschetto.

“Next Thursday and Friday, March 12 and 13, scarification and resurfacing work is scheduled on the Irminio viaduct - Costanzo bridge that connects Modica to Ragusa. The work will begin at 7:00 AM and will last until 6:00 PM. The intervention includes the establishment of one-way alternating traffic regulated by the so-called traffic controllers who will manage vehicle transit until the completion of the work, in order to avoid, as much as possible, long lines of vehicles.”

“On Monday, March 16 - he adds - the scarification and resurfacing work will be carried out on the Guerrieri bridge. Again, the interventions will start at 7:00 AM and will last until 6:00 PM, with the establishment of one-way alternating traffic regulated by the traffic controllers to allow for the greatest possible fluidity of vehicle transit and to minimize inconveniences. After a discussion with Commander Pierluigi Cannizzaro, we decided that for the work next Monday on the Guerrieri bridge, support from the local police will be guaranteed to create less disruption for those passing through the Modica viaduct.”
