Capture of an escaped prisoner in Carini, the carabinieri arrest him on the rooftops

This time there was no escape for a 27-year-old from Palermo, who was the recipient of a custody order in prison, arrested by the Carabinieri of the Carini station after a fugitive period that had lasted since last January.

The young man had escaped at the beginning of the year from a community in Salemi, becoming untraceable. A warrant for his search was pending against him for serious crimes, including aggravated robbery, resisting a public official, and escape. The military, through careful observation, managed to locate the fugitive's hideout; an apparently uninhabited building, chosen specifically to evade detection.

The operation was meticulously planned, taking into account the extreme agility of the suspect, who had previously managed to escape handcuffs with a daring rooftop escape, disappearing among the nearby buildings.

To prevent a repeat of the scenario, the Carabinieri surrounded the building, including the nearby rooftops, preemptively blocking any possible escape routes.

The man, feeling hunted and unable to launch himself upwards again, attempted one last desperate act to evade capture, trying to hide under a bed inside the house. However, the attempt proved futile as the military, having broke in, located and apprehended him in a matter of moments.

The man has been transferred to the Pagliarelli prison.
