The "Alberto Mura" National Tournament 2026, the event reserved for the best Under 15 and Under 17 male and female boxers, concluded at the Villaggio D'Abruzzo in Roseto degli Abruzzi after intense days of matches, and the spectacle did not disappoint.
Sicily confirmed its extraordinary talent pool, and many successes and important placements arrived in Roseto degli Abruzzi under the watchful eyes of champions like Luca Rigoldi, Roberto Cammarelle, Alessia Mesiano, and Terry Gordini, who spoke with the young boxers about emotional management along the path to great sports achievements.

In the Under 17 male category, under the watchful eyes of Salvatore “Tiger Eyes” Cavallaro, the Catanese boxer from Gs Fiamme Oro, who has been on the podium at European and World Championships and is set to compete for Italy at the Paris 2024 Games and has turned professional (with two matches and two victories), there was the success of his brother-in-law Gabriele Cuffaro in the 54 kg category, a student at the Cavallaro Boxing Team under coach Giovanni Cavallaro. Gabriele Cuffaro won all three matches, confirming his leadership in this category.

Also in the Under 17 category, a major protagonist was the Aretusean Gianmarco Carbè, the talent from Eagle Boxe Avola, a student of coach Carmelo Mammana. In Roseto degli Abruzzi, Gianmarco Carbè won three matches in three days of competition in the 50 kg category, defeating three reigning Italian champions and once again confirming himself as the best in his category. For Eagle Boxe Avola, there was a silver medal in the Under 15 category with Jamel Din Aloui in the 52 kg.

Among the girls, another great performance by Gaia Caldarella, a student at Dugo Boxe Avola under the guidance of her uncle-coach Corrado Dugo. Gaia Caldarella shone by winning three matches 5 to 0, a success that rewards the hard work done in the gym, for this extraordinary talent who starting from the 10th will be engaged with the national coach Giulio Coletta in a training camp in Rome.

Under 15: gold in the 40 kg category for Carlo Gabriel Carbaruso (Misilmeri Boxe); Antonino Pio Storniolo (Power Boxe) in the 48 kg category and Roberto Catalano (Pol. Little Club) in the 60 kg category. In the Under 17 category, gold for Gaetano Vinci (Cannata Boxe Team) in the 46 kg category.
