The rhythm, strength, and precision of aerobic gymnastics have lit up the Palatenda Roccazzella di Sciacca, the venue for the 2026 Regional Championships. This event saw the three Sicilian excellences in the sector compete: the ASD Discobolo Sciacca (hosting club), the ASD Motika di Modica, and the ASD Fitness 2000 Siracusa. The verdict from the competition floor is clear: the Sicilian movement is in excellent health and looks optimistically towards the national stages.

The triumph of Discobolo: 16 titles in the trophy case

The standout performer was the ASD Discobolo Sciacca, able to secure the medal tally with a remarkable 16 regional titles (9 Gold and 7 Silver). A collective performance that confirms the Sciacca club as a true center of excellence.

Among the standout results in the Silver category, the spotlight was on the engaging Aerobic Dance Group composed of Caracappa, Marciante, Fazio, Zampollo, Sabella, Ingrao, Dimino, and Monastero. Individual gold also went to Adele Santangelo, Emma Monastero, Federica Zampollo, and Tosca Maria Caracappa.

In the prestigious Gold section, Discobolo played its cards right: significant successes for Bianca Lazzara, Ilary Dimino, Enea Pifferi, and Gaia Allegro. Excellent results were also achieved in the trios and groups led by Nigro, Ciaccio, Abruzzo, and Bono, culminating in a victory in the Senior category signed by Adele Interrante.

Siracusa and Modica: podium talents

The ASD Motika di Modica was no less impressive, returning home with 7 titles (5 Gold and 2 Silver). In the Gold category, the singles of Serena Vicari, Giulia Cappello, and Samuele Iemmolo shone, with the latter also starring in the mixed pair alongside Cappello. In the Silver section, gold went to Emily Modica and the pair Pellegrino–Polino.

The ASD Fitness 2000 Siracusa achieved 5 Silver titles, demonstrating great cohesion. Highlighted was Paolo Sicura, winner in the individual and in the mixed pair with Giuliano. Success also for the talented group formed by Caligiore, Lozito, Senia, Tanasi, and Zuccalà.

Direction Pomigliano d’Arco

The Regional Championship was just the first step of a season that is now entering its core. For all qualified athletes, the appointment is set for April in Pomigliano d'Arco, where the interregional phase will take place. It will be there that Sicilian talents will have to confirm the technical level shown at the Palatenda to secure a spot in the national finals.

"Our territory has a natural vocation for this discipline, industry experts comment, "the results from Sciacca are proof of a constant investment in youth and technique."
