The Palermo championship will resume on Easter, April 5, with the home match that will see the rosanero facing Avellino. It starts at 7:30 PM and the tickets are already on sale on the official website and through traditional channels.
THREE IN THE NATIONAL TEAM. Three of the most representative players of the club coached by Pippo Inzaghi are doing overtime. Bartosz Bereszynski, Jesse Joronen, and Joel Pohjanpalo have been called up to the national team. The Polish player has responded to the call for the match against Albania scheduled for tomorrow March 26 and valid for the World Cup qualifiers.
Joronen and Pohjanpalo have been called up for two friendly matches that Finland will play on the 27th against New Zealand in Auckland and on the 30th again in Auckland against Cape Verde.
NON LEAGUE DAY. In a statement, Palermo has supported the upcoming weekend's “Non League Day,” an initiative that started in England over 15 years ago “to celebrate and support amateur and semi-professional football, encouraging fans and enthusiasts to experience a weekend closely connected with lower league clubs during the break of professional leagues.”
LONDON FRIENDSHIPS. Within this journey, Palermo has formed a special friendship with two historic London clubs: Corinthian-Casuals FC, a team that competes in the ninth division of English football and is among the oldest clubs in London, and Dulwich Hamlet FC, a team from the south of the English capital that plays in the Isthmian Premier League, the seventh division of English football, and is particularly committed to promoting the values of its community. “Both teams, not by coincidence, are featured within the Palermo Museum, in the “Pink Around the World” – the club notes in an official statement - the wall dedicated to teams from around the world that wear the iconic pink color. A unique and distinctive element for Palermo that also represented the heart of the marketing campaign “P-ink it” in the year of the 125th anniversary of history. Participation in Non League Day represents for the Club another step towards an increasingly international dimension, capable of valuing its origins while simultaneously building authentic relationships beyond Italian borders.”
