Catania, a player excluded from the team roster: the name is there

In the end, as reported in the latest edition of our newspaper on newsstands, Catania has included the playmaker Cicerelli in the list of call-ups. This was also announced by coach Viali at the press conference preceding the match scheduled for tonight at Massimino against Casarano.

At that point, the speculation about who would be excluded had begun because one player had to be removed from the official list. The mystery was only resolved a few minutes ago as the list of call-ups was released only late this morning instead of yesterday.

Left out of the call-ups and thus from the list is the winger Ponsi, who does not appear either among the called-up players or among the unavailable alongside Rolfini, Forte, Di Gennaro, and Aloi. Ponsi arrived mid-season from Modena without having been used in Serie B and at Catania he has accumulated three appearances for a total of 50 minutes, providing two assists to teammates Jimenez and Casasola during his seasonal debut against Trapani. For the 25-year-old player from Pietrasanta, a season finale in the stands seems likely.
