External team of SuperConveniente Virtus Ragusa: at the PalaMilone in Milazzo, the Ragusa team dominates 62-91 in the derby valid for the 25th matchday of the Serie B Interregionale.

The victory, which gets the team back on track after last Sunday’s loss, allows them to catch up with Viola in second place, although with one more game played and unfavorable head-to-head results.

Decisive was the attitude in the two central quarters, when the home team scored only 24 points.

Among the guests, Brown shines, just a step away from a triple-double: 23 points, 10 assists, and 9 rebounds.

A complicated week for SuperConveniente, with Fabi and Ianelli not at their best, but the competitiveness is that of matches that matter.

A favorable start for the Iblei, who take a lead of 5-9 at the 3rd minute with Adeola. Milazzo turns the game around with Maiorana (11-10 at the 5th minute) and extends the lead with a three-pointer from Malual (14-12).

The entry of captain Ianelli coincides with the most difficult moment of the first period for Virtus: Costa scores a 7-0 run that leads to the first attempt to break away by the Svincolati (18-12 at the 7th minute). At the first buzzer, the Mamertini lead 20-16.

The resumption of play, however, smiles on the guests: Ianelli opens the second quarter with a three-pointer, Virtus raises its defensive intensity, and with a basket from Brown and a three-pointer from Fabi, takes the lead (23-26).

In a game with a low score, Di Gregorio finds valuable minutes from Piscetta, while Adeola (already in double digits at halftime) inspires a 17-4 run capped by Peterson. The maximum lead for Ragusa reaches +9, reduced by a three-pointer from Skesters; at halftime, it is 30-36 for SuperConveniente.

Upon returning to the court, the favorable moment continues: Brown, Peterson, and Lanzi orchestrate a rapid 7-0 run that forces Priulla to call a timeout. The big men carry the team on their shoulders: Piscetta scores +17 (38-55), with Peterson effective near the basket.

However, it is in defense that Virtus builds the gap, disrupting the shooting percentages of the home team, who are stuck at 8/34 from the field in the two central quarters. At the penultimate buzzer, the Iblei lead authoritatively 44-62.

At the start of the last period, Lanzi's three-pointer sets the tone for the end, although Malual tries to bring the Mamertini closer with a shot from the arc (52-67 at 33’).

With Milazzo chasing, it is still Lanzi and Brown who deliver the final blow, while Adeola allows Virtus to surpass +20 (56-77) at 35’.

In closing, it is Fabi, the sixth Ragusan in double digits, who seals the deal. Game in the books: 62-91 and a decisive derby for SuperConveniente.
