Ragusa forced to settle for another warm broth

Only a point, a minimal comfort, for Ragusa Calcio, which failed to capitalize on the double home commitment scheduled by the calendar. After the 0-0 draw with Vibonese, another draw arrived: 1-1 against Lamezia. Yet the blues had played the first half with authority: leading at the 37th minute with a goal from Sinatra, then a controversial incident in the Calabrian area — an obvious handball by a Lamezia player not sanctioned by the referee — and, towards the end of the half, another chance for the home team. In the second half, the balance was restored with the header from Spanò, aided by a faulty catch from the local goalkeeper. Ragusa then pushed forward in search of the knockout blow, but failed to find the decisive strike. A missed opportunity for coach Lucenti's team, which remains just outside the relegation zone by a single point: the situation, in view of the objective, remains complex (Ragusa 29, Vibonese 28, Castrum Favara 27, Acireale 26). Next Sunday, an away match is scheduled on the prohibitive field of Savoia.
