Virtus Ragusa away to Milazzo to forget the home defeat against Viola
Tumino: "Let's think about the next race without having too many regrets."
SuperConveniente Virtus Ragusa is called for an immediate redemption after the home defeat against Viola. On Sunday at 6:30 PM, at the PalaMilone, the Ragusa team will be on stage in the derby against Svincolati Milazzo, valid for the 25th day of group F of the Serie B Interregionale.
A crucial appointment for the group led by coach Di Gregorio, determined to erase the last misstep and regain continuity in a phase that is already decisive for the season.
Introducing the match is the 2007-born playmaker, Giovanni Tumino, one of the brightest against Reggio: " We need to think about the next game without any regrets. The match against Viola was complicated, where the defensive attitude was key and we couldn't give our best. We need to turn the page: the derby with Milazzo is important for the continuation of the championship. Last Sunday’s stop was a disappointment for everyone, but it’s nice to be able to restart from a derby, on a difficult court. We have tried to prepare for it in the best way possible."
Milazzo comes with a fluctuating performance so far, but remains a dangerous opponent, especially at home. The record of the Mamertini is 11 wins and 11 losses.
In the roster coached by Priulla, the Latvian Ralfs Skesters has joined a few weeks ago, called to cover the center position instead of Rimsa, after his experience in the Norwegian top league.
Among the main references is also the play Valerio Costa, born in 1997, who averages 11.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.2 assists.
The first match shows the level of difficulty: at the PalaPadua, Virtus only won in a close finish, 90-88, after a battle decided by 25 points from Brown and 24 from Fabi. Since then, however, Milazzo has changed its face.
A victory would allow Ragusa to catch up to second place, thanks to the top clash between Viola Reggio Calabria and Ondatel Matera.
The match will be officiated by Mr. Daniele Barbagallo from Acireale and Carlo D’Amore from Messina.
