Trapani Shark Under 19 Gold excluded from the championship for the second refusal to compete

The Trapani Shark Under 19 Gold men's basketball team has been excluded from the respective regional championship organized by the Italian Basketball Federation following its second forfeit to take the court.

The match on March 8 scheduled away against the same-age team of Decò Alfa Catania has been validated by the sports judge, with official communication number 662 from yesterday, with a score of 20-0 in favor of the home team, due to the forfeit of the Trapani club to play.

This follows the previous forfeit for the match on February 27 that the young granata were supposed to play away against Vis Reggio Calabria. At that time, the club was also fined 200 euros. The regional sports judge also communicated, in addition to the exclusion of the young granata for having reached two forfeits in the same sports season, a further fine of 1200 euros to the club, as well as the prohibition for President Valerio Antonini from March 17 to June 30.
