The character
Federico Caruso in the national Top11: the Palese midfielder who captivates
The football player, born in 2007 and the only Sicilian in the special ranking of "Chiamarsi Bomber": grew up in Avola, technical qualities, and family roots in football.
Great moment for Federico Caruso, class of 2007, playing for Avola. The midfielder of the squad available to coach Attilio Sirugo has been included in the national Top11 of Eccellenza, compiled by "Chiamarsi Bomber", a social media page with a large following.
The eighteen-year-old from Portopalo, the only Sicilian in this Top11, comes from an excellent performance last Sunday wearing the Avola jersey, a team he has been with since last summer.

"Avola Calcio, from the first day I arrived, welcomed me and made me feel at home, - declares Federico Caruso - I immediately felt comfortable and in tune with the group thanks to which we are on a beautiful and fulfilling journey. Great credit also goes to the coach, the staff, and the club that improves us every day and provides us with everything we need, not forgetting our extraordinary fans who are always present and warm. Avola has helped me grow tremendously as a player, providing me with competent and high-level people with whom I train every day and strive to improve myself more and more."
Defensive midfielder with high technical fundamentals, 180 centimeters tall, Caruso kicked his first soccer balls in Pachino at the age of three, playing for Fair Play l’Uliveto, the soccer school of brothers Sebastiano and Marco Arangio.
A journey bolstered by winning numerous tournaments and the ability to stand out in every age category. From Pachino to Siracusa, with a move to Pantanelli Siracusa four years later, with a tenure lasting seven years, marked by personal titles as best player.
A long period during which he was technically followed by coaches Toni Cannarella and, mainly, by Gaspare Cacciola.
In Federico Caruso's achievements, there is also the regional “under 17” tournament won while playing with Siracusa, in the “elite” category, in the team led by Nuccio Foti. In that championship, the young midfielder from Portopalo was among the best, also finding space in the regional teams, earning call-ups.
In Federico's family, soccer is in the air. His father Davide, a former goalkeeper, born in 1971, also had a brief experience with a C2 team, while his grandfather Paolo left an indelible mark on the soccer history of Portopalo as a manager.
Playmaker, capable of sudden accelerations and bursts of speed, with a keen vision of the game, Federico Caruso does not shy away from offensive forays. “I thank Domenico Panico, my agent, for the support and assistance he is giving me.”
