Motorsport: on Saturday in Acireale, the protagonists of the 3rd Etna Trophy will take the stage.

A great celebration to honor the protagonists of the Etna Hillclimb Trilogy, the Giarre-Montesalice-Milo, the Catania-Etna, and the Linguaglossa-Piano Provenzano.

On Saturday, the prestigious venue of the Academy of Sciences, Letters, and Fine Arts of the Zelanti and Dafnici, at the City Hall of Acireale, will host at 5 PM the awards ceremony of the third edition of the Etna Trophy, the event organized by the Automobile Clubs of Acireale and Catania to reward the best drivers and sports teams that have distinguished themselves in these three important events that have now become established in the landscape of Sicilian motorsport and beyond.

A recognition aimed at enhancing the great sporting and organizational commitment surrounding the hillclimb races in the Etna area, events that over the years have contributed to strengthening the motorsport tradition of the territory, attracting drivers, teams, and enthusiasts from all over Sicily and from various Italian regions.

On Saturday, the award ceremony will feature the mayor of Acireale Roberto Barbagallo, Hon. Nicola D’Agostino, and Hon. Andrea Messina, members of the Sicilian Regional Assembly, as well as the mayors of the municipalities hosting the routes of the three hill climbs: Leo Cantarella (Giarre), Alfio Cosentino (Milo), Santo Raciti (Santa Venerina), Carlo Caputo (Belpasso), and Angelo Pulvirenti (Nicolosi).
