Lentini, the mayor Lo Faro has lost confidence. Now the commissioner arrives.

The city council of Lentini has approved the motion of no confidence against Mayor Rosario Lo Faro.

With eleven votes in favor and three against (two councilors absent), the motion was approved, the second after the one rejected on February 18, against the mayor who was elected on October 25, 2021.

Now the Region will have to appoint a special commissioner who will govern until the next municipal elections in May.

During the session, Mayor Lo Faro attempted to respond to the accusations contained in the motion voted by the councilors of Pd, Grande Sicilia/Mpa, FdI, Sinistra Futura Lentini, and M5S.

Lo Faro was elected with the support of Pd and M5S. Then came the first reshuffle and the entry into the council of Brothers of Italy and Grande Sicilia/Mpa. Then the latest reshuffle that did not save the mayor from no confidence.
