Port of Pozzallo, soaked and hypothermic individuals disembark: there were also three minors.
The situation in the Sicilian Channel is becoming increasingly complex. Even the cold does not serve as a deterrent.

Last night the port of Pozzallo became the landing point for thirty-four people whom the sea had put to the test. They arrived exhausted, soaked to the skin, and in hypothermia, carrying the weight of a journey that had nearly broken apart one hundred miles from the coast, in a stretch of rough sea that allows no mistakes. Among them were three minors, small and cold, who spent the night clinging to a fate stronger than the waves.
The rescue, coordinated by the Harbor Master, was complex, marked by difficult maneuvers and a sea that would not stop pushing back. Every approach was a challenge, every moment a fragile balance between life and the abyss. When the patrol boat entered the port, the lights of the dock broke the darkness like a breath of relief: outstretched hands, blankets, hot drinks, simple words that became a first refuge after hours of fear.
All the migrants, coming from Bangladesh, were fed and assisted as soon as they disembarked, then taken to the hotspot of the port facility for the necessary care and reception. In that transition, between the cold that still enveloped them and the warmth of those waiting for them, the distance between the storm and the mainland was reassembled.
Pozzallo, once again, witnessed stories that the sea could not erase. And in this difficult night, marked by wind and fear, thirty-four people found a point from which to start over.
