The presence of Lele Mora in the first episode of "Sicilia in Festa" at the Teatro Garibaldi in Piazza Armerina (province of Enna) ignites the debate even before the curtain rises. The deputy mayor and tourism assessor Ettore Messina is the one to announce it, while opposition city councilor Andrea Arena unequivocally criticizes the choice.

The show, funded by the Archaeological Park of Morgantina - Villa Romana del Casale and hosted by Diego Caltabiano, will restart on April 9 from the Teatro Garibaldi, broadcasting live, with the declared aim of enhancing the territory and its treasures, starting from the famous Villa del Casale.

Messina spoke of a central appointment for the promotion of the island: "Sicilia in Festa will return to tell the beauties, excellences, and the most authentic identity of our land." The program, hosted by Diego Caltabiano, renews itself by also including current affairs and national news topics.

It is precisely in this new light that the choice of Lele Mora as a guest for the inaugural episode fits in. A name that inevitably recalls a very specific season of Italian entertainment, marked by significant media exposure, relationships at the top of power, and events that over time have contributed to defining a complex and often debated public profile. A presence described by Messina himself as "strong" and destined to leave a mark, with a testimony that promises to be intense and capable of attracting significant media attention.

But not everyone shares this view. Councilor Andrea Arena intervenes with clear tones, speaking of a choice that is "deeply inappropriate." While acknowledging the importance of initiatives that promote the territory, Arena emphasizes that "Mora's presence is in contrast to the cultural nature of the event, and to the role of the public institutions involved."

"When talking about territorial identity and cultural promotion, guests should represent an added value," Arena states. "In this case, however, the focus is on a figure known primarily for judicial matters, which is hardly associated with a cultural role."

The councilor also insists on one point: "Piazza Armerina, the Villa Romana del Casale, and Morgantina do not need 'media shortcuts'. Their value is already recognized internationally."
