Tremestieri
"Cunning ones" on a trip caught throwing trash on Palmentazzo Street
The cameras allowed local police to identify those responsible.
There is no more room for those who do not respect the territory. This is the emphatic message coming from the Municipal Administration, currently led by the Extraordinary Commission.
Thanks to a significant enhancement of the video surveillance system, monitoring against environmental crimes has undergone an important acceleration, bringing the first concrete results in the fight against incivility. The support of video recordings has already allowed for several reports to the judicial authority. Under the scrutiny of the local police are especially the border areas - such as via Ombra, via Palmentazzo, and via Pietro dell’Ova - areas often improperly used as dumping sites. Just on via Palmentazzo, in recent days around noon, the cameras captured a serious incident: individuals coming from other municipalities attempted to turn the streets of Tremestieri into an open-air dump. A costly misjudgment, as the entire dynamic was reconstructed with extreme precision by the agents.
The responsible parties were promptly identified and, in accordance with current environmental regulations, will be sanctioned and prosecuted. The images were crucial in confirming the effectiveness of the tools adopted to protect legality, the Municipality reports. The judicial police activities conducted by the local police ensure that every offense is punished with the maximum rigor allowed by law. The fight against waste abandonment is not an isolated action, but the result of a constant control of the collection service. This activity is meticulously coordinated by the office of the urban waste collection service, led by Ing. Biondi, who is daily engaged in monitoring and improving the service throughout the municipal territory. The goal is clear: no more waste on the streets of Tremestieri. The Administration has reiterated that respecting the territory is a duty for all and that monitoring will not stop. Those who choose to ignore the rules of civil living must know that in Tremestieri, control is constant and the consequences are inevitable.
