Moments of great concern in Scoglitti, where the roof of an uninhabited house at the corner of via Trieste and via Principe di Piemonte suddenly collapsed. The structure, now deteriorated, gave way abruptly, causing wooden beams and tiles to fall onto the street.

The collapsed material struck a Bmw parked nearby, shattering its windshield and causing significant damage to the vehicle. Fortunately, no one was near the building at the time of the collapse.

Quickly reaching the area was the operational team from the Fire Brigade station in Vittoria. The firefighters secured the area, marking the perimeter and checking the remaining stability of the building to prevent further collapses.

According to initial assessments, the building has been abandoned for some time and does not meet suitable structural conditions. The intervention prevented risks for passersby and other parked vehicles, while it remains to be clarified whether measures will be necessary from the Municipality for the definitive securing.
