The Boccia-Sangiuliano clash reopens, as the entrepreneur's lawyers claim the former minister is under investigation for stalking.

«There is no notice of guarantee. More than a year has passed since the complaint and we have not been notified of any act». This is stated in a note by the lawyers of the former Minister of Culture and current group leader of FdI in the Campania Region Gennaro Sangiuliano, Silverio Sica and Giuseppe Pepe, regarding the investigation concerning him, made known by the lawyers of the entrepreneur Maria Rosaria Boccia.

«The relationships between Dr. Sangiuliano and Ms. Boccia have been thoroughly examined by the Prosecutor's Office of Rome and the preliminary hearing judge of the same court, who concluded for the indictment, with the trial starting on October 6 - the criminal lawyers state -. It should be noted that after resigning as minister, Dr. Sangiuliano has not had any type of relationship (neither phone, nor correspondence, nor personal) with Ms. Boccia, the facts are those already extensively examined by the Prosecutor and legally there is no mutual stalking». Thus, Sica and Pepe conclude, «we will take immediate action so that the dissemination of biased news, which in our opinion constitutes further acts of persecution, is assessed by the judicial authority».

The note from the former minister's lawyers follows the statement made by lawyer Francesco Di Deco, attorney for Maria Rosaria Boccia. «I can confirm that the former Minister of Culture, Gennaro Sangiuliano, is under investigation for stalking following our complaint filed in December 2024».

«The registration in the register of the investigated - explains Di Deco - is related to the documentation we provided to the magistrates. The behavior of the former minister and everything that has resulted from it has created and continues to create in my client a persistent state of anxiety and stress».
