Chiara Poggi, the 26-year-old woman killed on August 13, 2007 in the house on Via Pascoli in Garlasco, would have struggled for a long time against her murderer while being struck, and there would be traces of her attempt to defend herself on her body. These are some details - anticipated by Tg1 - from the consultation of the forensic pathologist Cristina Cattaneo submitted to the Prosecutor's Office in Pavia in recent days. According to the consultation, there would be clear signs of a struggle on the girl's body, such as bruises, contusions, and abrasions on her arms and legs. Circumstances that would indicate that Chiara tried to protect herself, but also attempted to defend herself by fighting with the attacker.

The murder, according to the consultation, did not occur suddenly with a single blow, but in multiple phases, between the ground floor and the stairs of the house, and the murderer, according to the leaks from the consultation, would have also stopped to observe the victim's body on the last step before striking her again, possibly with a hammer. These elements - according to TG1 - could explain the significance of the DNA traces found under the girl's nails, one of which is attributed by the prosecution to Andrea Sempio, while for the crime, the girl's ex-boyfriend, Alberto Stasi, was definitively sentenced to 16 years.
