Iran has set six conditions to end the war with the United States and Israel: the guarantee that the conflict will not be repeated, the closure of U.S. military bases in the region, the payment of compensation to Iran, the end of the war against all regional groups affiliated with Iran, the implementation of a new legal regime for the Strait of Hormuz, and the criminal prosecution and extradition of anti-Iranian media operators. This was reported by the Tasnim agency, an outlet of the Revolutionary Guards.

The country thus seems to have slightly softened the hardline stance expressed after Donald Trump's ultimatum (48 hours to reopen the Strait of Hormuz or Iranian power plants will be targeted): the Iranian news agency Mehr has threatened that even a limited attack on Iranian electrical infrastructure would plunge the entire region into darkness. This was reported by the Iranian opposition media based in London, Iran International.

Say goodbye to electricity,” wrote the state-affiliated news outlet, stating that “with the minimum attack” on the energy infrastructure of the Islamic Republic, “the entire region will be plunged into darkness.” Mehr also published a map of the major power plants in the Persian Gulf countries, including sites in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait, stating that 70% to 80% of the major power plants in the region are built along the coast of the Persian Gulf and are within the range of Iranian missiles.
