US Shutdown, Musk: "I will pay the salaries of airport security."
Thousands of workers unpaid: the entrepreneur claims to be ready to intervene while remaining silent on the Twitter conviction.
Elon Musk has not yet commented on the verdict in which a jury found him liable for deceiving Twitter shareholders, but he has weighed in on the stalemate that is paralyzing part of the federal services in the United States.
The billionaire has announced his willingness to cover the salaries of airport security personnel, who have gone without pay due to the shutdown affecting the Department of Homeland Security. Thousands of workers from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) are involved in the funding suspension.
"I would like to offer to pay the salaries of TSA staff during this funding stalemate, which is negatively impacting the lives of so many Americans at airports across the country," Musk wrote on the X platform.
The proposal comes as the federal funding block continues to cause widespread disruptions, particularly at major U.S. airports.
