Gaza, the Rafah crossing to and from Egypt has reopened
It had been closed since February 28. As reported by the broadcaster Al-Qahera News, it now operates "in both directions."
The Rafah crossing, at the border between the Gaza Strip and Egypt, has been reopened today for the first time since February 28, when Israel ordered its closure coinciding with the launch of joint attacks against Iran alongside the United States.
The news was reported by Egyptian media close to the institutions. Al-Qahera News, a broadcaster considered close to Cairo's intelligence services, reported that the crossing is again operational “in both directions” and released footage showing a limited number of Palestinian citizens — including people returning after receiving treatment in Egypt — preparing to cross the border from the Egyptian side to return to Gaza. The images also show several ambulances lined up for the transfer of patients coming from the Strip.
