An explosion was heard throughout the capital, and live television coverage from Afptv showed columns of smoke rising from the area. A building in Bashoura, also in central Beirut, had been hit earlier, following an Israeli warning.

At least four people were killed in an Israeli attack that targeted four houses in the city of Sahmar, in the Bekaa Valley, Lebanon. The Lebanese Civil Defense reports that 11 of its members were injured in an Israeli attack on the city of Nabatieh.
