Winter is struggling to leave: a disturbance is coming from the northeast with heavy rain and snow in the high hills.

A new disturbance coming from northeastern Europe in the evening will affect Adriatic sectors with rain and snow at high hill altitudes. There will be a significant strengthening of the winds over much of the central-northern regions. This is indicated by a weather alert from the Civil Protection.

The warning forecasts from this afternoon/evening, precipitation, also in the form of showers or thunderstorms, in Puglia, extending from the early hours of tomorrow to Abruzzo, Molise, and Marche. The phenomena will be accompanied by heavy downpours, strong gusts of wind, local hailstorms, and electrical activity.

From the early hours of tomorrow, strong to stormy events are also expected from the northern quadrants in Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, Umbria, and central-northern Lazio. High waves along exposed coasts are anticipated.

Finally, there will be snowfalls: on average above 800-1000 meters in Emilia-Romagna with accumulations from weak to moderate; on average above 700-900 meters in Abruzzo and Molise with accumulations from moderate to abundant, especially at higher altitudes.
