Turkey mediates between Washington and Tehran to end the war in the Middle East. Tajani reiterates: "We are not at war"

Turkey is speaking with both Washington and Tehran in an attempt to end the ongoing war in the Middle East, said Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. "We are at a moment when we need negotiations and dialogue more than ever. We are talking with the Iranian side and the American side," he added: "This war should end as soon as possible."

And also the Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, reiterating that "We are not at war and we will not go to war", stated that today he will speak with the authorities of the Iraqi Kurdistan and with the Foreign Minister of Iraq to take stock of the situation to ensure action that is in favor of peace, dialogue, and the reopening of negotiations. The minister made this statement during a press briefing at the Farnesina.
