Starting March 31, it will be possible to submit applications for the non-repayable grant managed by Simest, aimed at export-oriented companies that have suffered damage due to the Hurricane Harry in January in Sicily, Sardinia, and Calabria. This is a package of 130 million euros allocated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and presented last February 2 by Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani and President of the Region, Renato Schifani, at Palazzo d'Orléans, in Palermo, during a meeting with representative associations of the productive sector. The intervention covers damages to buildings, equipment, machinery, vehicles, and inventory, up to a maximum of 5 million euros per single company.

Companies of any size can access the measure if, in the 2025 fiscal year, they have recorded a direct export turnover of at least 3%, or if they demonstrate that they operate in exporting supply chains with a minimum share of 10% of their business turnover. Applications must be submitted through the Simest portal, the company that supports the growth and internationalization of Italian companies, starting from 9 AM on March 31, 2026.
