"If everyone does something, a lot can be done": Mobilization with conscious giving for those in need
Solidarity in Piazza Cavour: on Saturday, the shopping that does good for those who are less fortunate.
A large collection of food and essential goods for those in need has been organized for Saturday the 28th, in Piazza Cavour in Agrigento, by the Christian Workers' Movement and the Sias Patronage in collaboration with the Street Volunteers Association.
The collected products will be donated to the Solidarity Soup Kitchen and the Street Volunteers Association. “We wanted to organize this collection in Piazza Cavour – explained Enzo Sardo, provincial president of the Christian Workers' Movement – because we believe that giving must be conscious and constitutes the essence of solidarity.”
“We joyfully ask everyone to participate even with small donations – continues Gaspare Piscopo, provincial head of the Sias patronage. – Rice, sauce, oil, vinegar, milk, flour, legumes, vegetables, and fruit are all welcome; in short, anything that comes from the heart. Father Pino Puglisi used to say: if everyone does something, then a lot can be done!.”
The food collection will take place from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
