Santa Maria del Focallo in the Ragusano area has been cleaned up from waste, as environmental operators intervene against incivility.

Environmental operators from Impregico Srl intervened in Santa Maria del Focallo to remove a large amount of abandoned waste along roads, parking areas, and passageways. A necessary and urgent job, made even more burdensome by the incivility of those who continue to turn one of the most beautiful coastal stretches of the area into an open-air dump.

The operators collected bags, bulky items, plastic, scraps of all kinds: materials left by those who, ignoring the rules and respect for the environment, prefer to illegally dispose of their waste. A phenomenon that is unfortunately recurring in the area, requiring continuous interventions and a constant commitment from the cleaning staff.

The company reminds that abandoning waste is a criminal offense and invites citizens to report improper behaviors and to properly use the services of separate waste collection and authorized disposal centers.

The cleanup carried out today restores dignity to an area that deserves protection and attention, but the problem remains open: without a cultural change and a greater civic sense, no intervention can truly be effective.
