The last act of the solemn celebrations in honor of Saint Joseph in the heart of the historic center of Ragusa concluded last night, with the procession that had been postponed in the previous days due to bad weather. An eagerly awaited event for the faithful and devotees of the neighborhood, who once again demonstrated how deeply rooted this occasion is in the religious and community life of the city.

In the afternoon, immediately after the Eucharistic celebration presided over by the parish priest, Father Corrado Garozzo, the revered statue of Saint Joseph emerged from the church amidst the applause of those present, accompanied by an initial fireworks display that marked the official start of the procession. The procession then traversed the main streets of the historic center, followed by a particularly large number of faithful, families, and ordinary citizens who wanted to pay tribute to the Patriarch.
The religious procession was led by the two parish priests, Father Luigi Diquattro and Father Corrado Garozzo, and accompanied by the music of the San Giorgio – Città di Ragusa band, which punctuated the most significant moments of the route. Among the most heartfelt stops was the pause at the parish of Angelo Custode, where the local community paid a special tribute to the statue, renewing a bond of devotion that has been passed down for generations.

Participation was, once again, extraordinary. The streets of the historic center filled with people, confirming how the celebrations in honor of Saint Joseph represent an identity event for the entire neighborhood. A tradition that continues to unite, engage, and strengthen the sense of belonging of a community that experiences these moments with profound spiritual intensity.

With yesterday's procession, a particularly well-attended edition of the celebrations comes to a close, marked by a strong popular presence and an atmosphere of genuine devotion that permeated every moment of the celebration.
