On the eve of Palm Sunday and the opening of the rites of Holy Week, the community of San Giorgio a Modica is preparing for an intense moment of reflection and inner formation. Father Michele Fidone, emphasizing the urgency of living the last days of Lent with particular intensity, has promoted a reflection meeting aimed at the members of the Catholic Association of San Giorgio Bearers and the entire parish, inviting them to make silence and listening the focus of their faith testimony. The heart of the initiative will be tomorrow, Sunday the 22nd, the fifth Sunday of Lent: the Mother Church of San Giorgio will transform into a cenacle of meditation and prayer. The program will begin at 4:00 PM with the initial prayer, followed by the listening of the Word and meditation guided by Mons. Salvatore Rumeo, Bishop of the Diocese of Noto. The presence of the Diocesan Pastor gives a strong communal breath to the event, designed to offer paths of conversion and spiritual growth to every believer. The afternoon will continue with a space dedicated to resonances and personal sharing, culminating at 6:00 PM in the solemn celebration of the Holy Mass. To make the journey towards Easter even more evocative, the evening will conclude with the Lenten concert by the Sicilian duo "BELLAMORÉA": brothers Emanuele and Francesco Bunetto will accompany those present on a musical and spiritual journey capable of touching the strings of the heart, intertwining the island tradition with the deep faith that characterizes the time of the Passion.

This event, strongly desired by the San Giorgio Bearers Association, represents a precious opportunity to rediscover the meaning of service and belonging, preparing souls to live with authenticity the mysteries of the Resurrection that the Church is about to celebrate.
