Race officials: the Automobile Club strengthens its staff for future motorsport events
Fifty-two new security professionals ready to oversee the racetrack.
The motorsport scene in Agrigento is revving up, starting from the fundamental basis of every competition: safety and regularity. The training course for Race Officials organized by AC Agrigento has concluded with a success that exceeds expectations, confirming that the passion for four wheels in the City of Temples is more alive than ever.
The numbers of success
That the sector was in excellent health was already evident from the number of participants: as many as 57 enthusiasts decided to step up to turn their passion into a professional skill in service of the sport. After intense theoretical sessions, the "test of fire" took place yesterday in the prestigious setting of the Autodromo Concordia.
Under the watchful eye of the Examination Commission – composed of Maurizio Giugno, Noemi Melinci, and Michele Milazzo – the candidates faced the final tests. The outcome was clear: 52 new Race Officials received official certification to operate in motorsport competitions under the aegis of ACISPORT.
A team of excellent trainers
This result is the product of teamwork coordinated by the leadership of the Automobile Club. The contribution of trainers and members of the Board of Directors, Nino Puletto and Roberto Piccione, along with Marco Lembo, was essential. As ACISPORT Regional Commissioners, they provided the trainees with the technical and regulatory knowledge necessary to fill such a delicate and complex role on the racetracks.
Comments from the leadership: "We invest in safety"
Satisfaction was expressed by the President of the Automobile Club Agrigento, Avv. Salvatore Bellanca, and the Provincial Delegate, Camillo Sartorio. Both emphasized that training is the only possible path to ensure high-quality standards.
"Seeing so many young and passionate individuals commit to becoming professionals in the sector is an important signal for the entire Agrigento automotive movement," declared President Bellanca with pride.
New blood for upcoming events
With the addition of these 52 new figures, the staff of Race Officials – coordinated by Toti Ragusa, Head of the Sports Commission of the Organization – receives a crucial breath of fresh air. Agrigento thus presents itself at the starting blocks of the upcoming sporting events with a larger, younger, and more prepared team, ready to oversee the tracks and city routes with the utmost professionalism.
