The new school complex on Australia Street has been named after Luigi Giussani, a nationally prominent priest and educator.
The resolution of the municipal administration, formalized in October 2025, was implemented yesterday with the official announcement of the name and the installation of the commemorative plaque.
The initiative is part of the Municipality's effort to dedicate spaces for children to personalities who have distinguished themselves in the educational and cultural fields.

Made possible through the funds of the Pnrr, the complex represents a significant investment in enhancing early childhood services, with modern and functional environments designed to promote children's autonomy and growth.
The dedication responds to the request of the Ibleo socio-cultural center “Mons. Francesco Ventorino”, chaired by Giampiero Antoci, who emphasized that Don Giussani serves as a still relevant educational model.
Founder of the Communion and Liberation movement, the priest viewed education as “an introduction to the total reality”, based on listening, trust, and co-responsibility, aimed at promoting the child's autonomy and freedom through a direct and lively relationship with the educator.
