The Equal Opportunities Committee of the Order of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts of Ragusa has officially been established, initiating a new season of work dedicated to the promotion of an inclusive culture and the protection of equality within the professional community.
The composition of the new body sees Tiziana Vitale as the delegated councilor of the Order, Edvige La Rosa as president, Antonio Amore as vice president, and Monica Diquattro serving as secretary.
The group is completed by the elected members Luca Giannone, Carmelo Santaera, and Melania Spadola.
The Equal Opportunities Committee is established with the aim of promoting awareness initiatives on the issues of gender equality, professional equity, and merit enhancement, fostering a more conscious and respectful work environment.
A significant aspect of the activity will be the cross-coordination with the Order's Council, based on the belief that the development of the category also depends on the strengthening of its public image through consistent behaviors, constantly updated skills, and a contemporary vision of the professional role.
During the inauguration, the president of the Order, Michelangelo Aurnia, expressed satisfaction with the establishment of the Committee, emphasizing its strategic value: «The Equal Opportunities Committee – he stated – represents an essential tool to guide our community towards a more inclusive culture that is attentive to people. Equality, respect, and merit enhancement are not slogans, but necessary conditions for a profession that wants to be credible and competitive».
Aurnia also highlighted the importance of teamwork and the continuity of actions: «I am confident that the Committee will be able to propose concrete initiatives that can impact the professional lives of our members. The Order will wholeheartedly support any path that promotes participation, awareness, and cohesion, because only a united and prepared category can face the challenges that await us with serenity».
The establishment of the Equal Opportunities Committee thus represents a significant step for the Odcec of Ragusa, reaffirming the intention to invest in a dynamic, inclusive, and growth-oriented organizational culture, where skills and differences are not a cause for division, but resources to be enhanced.
