Ragusa, Forza Italia asks for support from the general management of the Asp to improve the hospital's performance.

A steering committee has been established to restore dignity and full functionality to the “Maria Paternò Arezzo” Hospital in Ragusa.

On Friday morning, an operational summit took place at the headquarters of the General Management of the Asp, involving Mayor Peppe Cassì, the General Director of the health authority, Giuseppe Drago, and the city secretary of Forza Italia, Alberto Distefano.

The meeting, promoted by the blue secretary following reports from users and healthcare personnel, led to the definition of a timeline of prompt interventions to improve the livability of the Ibla facility.

The technical table identified three absolute priorities to be translated into immediate actions: the reopening of the internal refreshment point, a service deemed essential for those who frequent the hospital daily; the restoration of the road surface in the areas belonging to the hospital, in order to ensure the safe circulation of ambulances and private vehicles; the enhancement of external lighting with more efficient technologies, to raise safety standards during nighttime.

Satisfaction was expressed by Alberto Distefano (Forza Italia), who praised the pragmatic approach of General Director Drago: “We found a partner ready to translate dialogue into action, putting at the center the dignity of those who visit the hospital.”

In the same vein, Mayor Peppe Cassì emphasized the value of a united front between the Administration and political forces: “Moving together is the key to achieving quick results. With the ASP, we have identified essential works for the decorum and usability of a historic structure like the Arezzo.”

The General Director of the Asp, Giuseppe Drago, finally confirmed the full availability of the technical structure of the company to promptly initiate the necessary procedures to achieve the shared objectives.
