Marina di Modica, the mobilization to make it cleaner is starting

On Saturday, March 21, starting at 3 PM, in Marina di Modica, the ecological event “Marina di Modica Differentiates” will take place, dedicated to environmental protection and the dissemination of good practices in waste management.

The event, promoted by the local community through the page “You are from Marina di Modica if…” in collaboration with the organization Plastic Free and with the sponsorship of the Municipality of Modica, represents an important opportunity for active participation for citizens, associations, and visitors.

“The initiative – explains Samuele Cannizzaro, Councilor for Environmental Policies – is part of the broader commitment of the municipal administration aimed at improving the environmental quality of the area and strengthening awareness on the issue of sustainability.”

During the afternoon, participants will be engaged in collecting abandoned waste and in urban beautification efforts, with the goal of making Marina di Modica even more welcoming in view of the summer season.

Councilor Cannizzaro adds: “The Administration strongly supports this initiative, which fully embodies our vision of a cleaner and more sustainable city. ‘Marina di Modica Differentiates’ represents a concrete and shared commitment to the protection of the territory. We invite all citizens to actively participate in this moment of community and civic responsibility.”
