The miracle of tradition: schools as the protagonists of the San Giuseppe tables
From Ambrosini's soup to votive breads and typical sweets: a celebration in the name of sharing
Favara celebrates one of the most heartfelt anniversaries of popular tradition. Today, March 19, on the occasion of the Feast of Saint Joseph, piazza Cavour has come alive again with the traditional Tavolate, involving the local schools for the second consecutive year in a moment of faith and sharing.
After the success of last year's edition, the Saint Joseph Committee has proposed a rich program in honor of the Patriarch, a central figure in the local devotion.
The vigil was dedicated to traditions, with a meeting at the Church of the Rosary together with students and artists from the area.
The heart of today's celebration is the religious rites in the Mother Church and, in the afternoon, the Tavolate in the square, set up thanks to the contribution of families, among votive breads and typical sweets. A German delegation from Saarlouis, a town twinned with Favara, was also present, welcomed with a tasting of the traditional soup prepared by the students of the Ambrosini-King hospitality institute.
An event that unites community, school, and faith in the name of tradition.
