recognitions
Not just cinema, the agricultural soul of Giusy Buscemi: she is the ambassador of Menfi oil in the world.
The city celebrates the success of the actress-entrepreneur.
The city of Menfi celebrates the success of Giusy Buscemi, who has been included among the protagonists of Women in Food 2026, a prestigious initiative by Cook – Corriere della Sera that annually awards women capable of innovating and leaving a mark in the worlds of food, wine, and hospitality. This recognition goes beyond the artistic profile of the actress, highlighting her soul as a farm entrepreneur deeply connected to her land.
Buscemi, in fact, has never severed the tie with Menfi. On the contrary, she has transformed it into a concrete project: Casa Rossa, the farm she founded in her hometown, which today produces extra virgin olive oil, honey, and other local excellences. A place that unites agriculture, sustainability, and cultural identity, becoming a model of conscious return to roots.
Her commitment does not stop at entrepreneurial activity. Buscemi is an active part of the Menfi Olive Community, within the National Association of Olive Cities, contributing to the promotion of olive culture and the storytelling of a territory that thrives on quality, tradition, and innovation.
For Menfi, the award represents a reason for collective pride. “Giusy Buscemi – emphasizes the Administration – is an example of how talent, vision, and love for one's land can transform into a powerful message. A true ambassador of our territory, capable of telling it with authenticity and enhancing it through her work.”
An acknowledgment that celebrates a career, but also a way of being rooted, contemporary, and deeply connected to the community from which it all began.
