Marina di Ragusa, the triduum for Saint Joseph begins: prayer, silence, and community
Starting today, Thursday, in Marina di Ragusa, the triduum of preparation for the feast of Saint Joseph begins, an event that every year draws the community around the figure of the saint, a just father, tireless worker, and discreet guardian of the Holy Family.
The parish, led by Father Riccardo Bocchieri, invites the faithful, families, and associations to experience these days as a time of reflection, listening, and renewed trust.
In his message to the community, the pastor reminds that Saint Joseph "did not speak in the Gospels, but spoke with his life: he safeguarded, protected, worked, and loved." A particularly relevant example.
"In a time when noise covers the essential – writes Father Bocchieri – Joseph teaches us the value of silence that listens, of courage that acts without fanfare, of hope that does not give up in trials."
From here comes the invitation to entrust to the Saint the families, youth, workers, those seeking employment, and all who are going through difficult times, because "his example helps us build communities based on trust, solidarity, and living faith."
The journey towards the solemnity on Sunday will be marked by prayers, celebrations, and community initiatives: not only a liturgical itinerary but an identity event, an opportunity to gather, recognize each other, and strengthen the bond that unites Marina di Ragusa to the devotion for Saint Joseph.
The program:
Today, Thursday: 10 AM visit from the children of the kindergarten and primary school; 6:30 PM solemn Eucharistic celebration presided over by the pastor and blessing of the fathers.
Tomorrow, Friday: 5 PM Stations of the Cross; 6 PM Holy Mass presided over by Father Andrea La Terra.
Saturday: 6 PM Holy Mass presided over by Father Andrea La Terra, with the participation of the celebration committee and blessing of the fathers; 7:30 PM blessing of the “dinners” in honor of the patriarch Saint Joseph.
This year, as in the past, Gali Group Trasporti & Logistica offers its support on the media front, contributing to the dissemination of initiatives and the enhancement of the religious program: a gesture of closeness that confirms the role of local business realities in supporting the most significant moments of community life.
The parish invites everyone to participate with an open heart, making the triduum an opportunity for peace, listening, and gratitude.
“May Saint Joseph – concludes don Bocchieri – accompany us on our daily journey and teach us to cherish what truly matters.”
