With the arrival of the beautiful season, the scents and colors of the Iblean land return to the forefront. On the occasion of the first weekend of spring, Interspar Le Dune di Ragusa hosts a new edition of the Mercatino delle Eccellenze, an event created in synergy with Slow Food Ragusa, which has become iconic and celebrates the unbreakable bond between quality large-scale distribution and small local producers. From Friday, March 20 to Sunday, March 22, the outdoor area of the Interspar Le Dune hypermarket (on Via La Pira) will be transformed into a true village of taste. A unique opportunity to meet the guardians of Sicilian biodiversity, discover the secrets of the short supply chain, and make conscious purchases directly from those who produce.

Building on the success of previous editions, the market will see the participation of Slow Food Communities and producers of local gastronomic symbols. Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in a sensory journey that ranges from the famous Ragusano DOP, featured in free tastings, to the Giarratana onion, to the strong flavors of black pig with Palazzolo Acreide sausage. There will be no shortage of the excellences that make our territory unique: from Iblean honey to historic cheeses, to baked goods that recall the tradition of homemade bread. The initiative continues to be a moment of direct exchange to listen to the stories of producers, taste excellent products, and rediscover the value of food as culture. For the occasion, meetings, free tastings, and dedicated promotions will be provided to encourage the consumption of zero-kilometer products.

The Mercatino delle Eccellenze will be open to the public on Friday, March 20, Saturday, March 21, and Sunday, March 22, 2026, from 10 AM to 1 PM and from 4 PM to 8 PM. A “tasty” way to greet spring by rediscovering the authenticity of Sicilian flavors and supporting the local economy.
