Giarratana, the Region approves the projects of the women's and youth councils

With the D.R.S. n. 834 of March 17, 2026, the Sicilian Region – Department of Family, Social Policies and Labor has arranged for the disbursement of extraordinary contributions in favor of the Consultations, based on the requests submitted by the Municipalities within the deadlines set by the call for proposals.

The Municipality of Giarratana is among the few to have obtained a double funding, benefiting both Consultations. In particular, the Women's Consultation has been allocated € 5,410.00 for the project “Activities for Women 2026”; the Youth Consultation has been allocated € 5,000.00 for the initiative “Summer and Christmas Events, Film Forum, and Promotion of Blood Donation Culture”.

The activities will take place during 2026, as outlined in the approved projects. This is a significant result, which rewards the projecting capacity of the territory and supports social and cultural interventions without burdening the municipal budget.
