Father's Day and the relationship with children: the initiatives of Asp counseling centers

On the occasion of Father's Day, the family counseling centers of Asp di Ragusa are launching a calendar of meetings and moments of discussion dedicated to the role of the father and the relationship with children.

The initiatives, promoted by the Uosd Coordination of Counseling Centers, directed by Dr. Nunziata Pace, aim to provide fathers and families with a space for dialogue, sharing, and listening, enhancing the paternal figure in the growth journey of children.

The appointments are scheduled in various counseling centers in the province.

In Ragusa, the Family Counseling Center in Piazza Libertà will host the group meeting “The Circle of Dads” on Thursday, March 19, from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM, designed as an opportunity for fathers to discuss the challenges and emotions of parenthood.

On the same day, the Family Counseling Center in Via Falcone will offer a meeting for new parents and their children titled “When a baby is born, a dad is born too. From womb to arms: when two become three”, to reflect together on the experience of childbirth and the changes that accompany the arrival of a child.

In Comiso, on Thursday, March 19 from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM, the counseling center in Via Righi (former slaughterhouse) will open its doors to parents and children with the initiative “With Dad: Parent-Child Meeting Space”, dedicated to the relationship between fathers and children through moments of sharing and common activities.

The Family Counseling Center in Ispica will kick off the program with the group meeting “Parents on the Path: The Paternal Code”, scheduled for Wednesday, March 18 at 4:00 PM.

In Scicli, however, on Thursday, March 26 at 6:45 PM, the group appointment “Dad's Space” will take place, designed as a place of support and discussion among fathers.

Finally, in Vittoria, two moments dedicated to individual counseling and listening are scheduled for Tuesday, March 24 and Thursday, March 26, both from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM, to offer dads a private space for dialogue with the counseling center operators.
