Ragusa says goodbye to Prof. Vincenzo Nobile, president of Alliance Francaise.

Ragusa loses one of the figures who has contributed the most, in recent decades, to the construction of a stable cultural bridge with France. In the past few hours, Vincenzo Nobile has passed away, who for years was a reference point for the Alliance Française and an tireless promoter of the language and culture from across the Alps.

His work, carried out with rigor and passion, has given rise to a dense calendar of meetings, conferences, and initiatives that have involved students, enthusiasts, and simple curious individuals. Nobile was able to transform interest in French culture into a true citizen movement, capable of taking root over time.

Among his most recognized merits is the introduction of the Fête de la Musique in Ragusa, the Music Festival that for over twenty years has enlivened squares and neighborhoods with widespread and participatory performances. An insight that anticipated models of cultural enjoyment that are now increasingly widespread and that has left a lasting mark on the local landscape.

His commitment has helped to strengthen the ties between Ragusa and France, offering the city opportunities for international dialogue and opening spaces for cultural growth for entire generations.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 18 at 3:00 PM at the Church of San Pio X, where the funeral home has been set up.
