Ragusa: Municipality, school, and volunteers together for animals

In Ragusa, “The School That Cares” begins, a solidarity initiative promoted by the Municipality, the “Quasimodo-Ventre” Comprehensive Institute, and the LEIDAA Iblea association for the collection of food for stray dogs and cats present in the municipal area.

The collection days are set for March 30 and 31, 2026 in all the schools of the institute: students, families, and citizens will be able to donate kibble, dry and wet food for animals.

The supplies will then be allocated to support the local cat colonies and the tutors who care for the rehomed dogs, providing concrete help to those who daily take care of care, feeding, and monitoring.

The distribution will take place with clear and transparent criteria, taking into account the registered cat colonies, the tutors of the rehomed dogs, the indicative number of animals assisted, and the total quantities donated, with the operational support of LEIDAA Iblea.
