Ibla Meeting Art, here are the exciting events of the second day
The initiative that started today at the San Vincenzo Ferreri auditorium will continue tomorrow and Sunday.
The soul of Ibla Meeting Art Amedeo Fusco
Ragusa Ibla is preparing to experience a new chapter of emotions, meetings, and creativity with the second day of the fourth edition of "Ibla Meeting Art", the event conceived and promoted by Amedeo Fusco that for years has brought together artists, poets, scholars, and enthusiasts in the baroque heart of the city.
The San Vincenzo Ferreri auditorium will once again be the place where the "people of art" meet, converse, and compose a varied mosaic of languages and sensibilities.
Tomorrow, Saturday, March 21, the program will open at 10 AM with Gino Baglieri and the evocative "Walk in pre-earthquake Ibla", a journey into the memory and history of the ancient neighborhood.
At 1:30 PM, a convivial moment is scheduled with lunch at Caffè del Borgo, where typical local products will be offered, an opportunity to share flavors and conversations.
The afternoon will begin at 3:30 PM with a conference by Rosario Sprovieri on a always relevant topic: "Art: the value of art and the value of artists... who determines it?".
At 4:20 PM, there will be space for poetry with Adriana Stella, who will interpret "Your Eyes" by Nazim Hikmet, followed at 4:30 PM by Maria Scollo with "Call Me a Witch" by B. Giorgi. At 4:45 PM, Gli Amici del Teatro di Chiaramonte – Vito Cultrera, Mario Bentivegna, and Sebastiano D’Angelo – will take the stage to share their experience as "disseminators of Ibleo dialectal theater across four continents", a testament to a heritage that has managed to cross borders.
At 5:40 PM, Stefania Campo will present a conference dedicated to Mariannina Coffa, a poet with an intense and complex human story. At 6:20 PM, Samuel Occhipinti will recount life through music, in a presentation introduced by Carmela Scivoletto. Following this, at 6:40 PM, Ciccio Schembari will interpret the poem "Letter to a German Mother" by Ignazio Buttitta.
Starting at 6:45 PM, the heart of popular tradition will come alive with Marcella Burderi, who will delve into “The Tales of Tradition at Easter”, a journey through the stories that accompany the Easter period in Sicilian communities. The closing, at 7:40 PM, will be entrusted to Dario Adamo with a new musical moment dedicated to the theme of “telling life through music”, capping off a day rich in perspectives and artistic sensibilities.
Once again, Ibla Meeting Art confirms its nature as an open and inclusive cultural laboratory, capable of connecting different generations, disciplines, and stories. An event in constant growth, now among the most significant of the Iblean cultural life.
